UCIA/UCUA Check Registries – 2016

By John Bury | January 17, 2017

Check Registries for 2016 for both the Union County Improvement Authority (UCIA) and Union County Utilities Authority (UCUA) are out and among the expenses incurred by an organization that has cost Union County taxpayers tens of millions of dollars through dumb ideas, useless litigation benefiting connected lawyers primarily, and incompetence are these items:

Though they call it a walk and it will be held next month:

All of the traditional features of our Walk to Washington remain intact:

  • Our chartered Amtrak train leaves for Washington, D.C., on Thursday, February 16, 2017.
  • Our Grand Reception at the Marriott Wardman Park begins at 5 p.m. that evening.
  • Our dinner honoring New Jersey’s Congressional Delegation follows at 7 p.m.

Purely political but UCIA honchos get taxpayers to pay for it:

We also have the annual Atlantic City junket where the whole class gets to go:

And they never learn anything except to hire the same incompetent lawyers who pay to get their business by campaign contributions losing millions of taxpayers’ monies, including Linda Stender whose husband and/or her who tried to rip off Coastal Habitat for Humanity. Bunch of grifters padding their pensions, including UCIA Dan Sullivan.

    SHAMEFUL.

All these years the politicians and connected ones use the taxpayer money to go on this Washington trip and we have not heard a peep out of them as to what they got from the trip. Somehow I feel by their incessant criminal tendencies they may actually may be faking invoices and pocketing the money. Possible evidence of their grifting?: they also pay the lobby firm “winning strategies” $125,000 to $150,000 annually to actually represent us down in Washington…even though I see all sorts of federal senators and legislators attend the swearing in ceremonies of the freeholders each year. Is anybody doing their job?
